someone's looking to hook in with the hot laaaydiez, is he?
anyway, it wouldn't work in Perth cos most of the people already know everyone.

I also strongly feel Claremont Showgrounds is too out of the way to attract more people to the event. Having been to Armageddon in Melbourne in 2010, I feel somewhere central, such as the Perth Convention Centre, is much more ideal. At Claremont, I always see extremely long queues at the teller machine outside, as well as where people go for food, whereas if it was in the city, that problem is gone! Also, if it was in the city, more people will be inclined to use public transport as well, and I believe more people would attend, because they don't feel it to be too out of the way.

Have always felt it's a shame Perth misses out on many of the guests the other states get. Also, I've always felt there is too much bias towards US guests (Though, I should also point out I'm probably older than many of you, & am not such a big fan of most of the US productions). I do know of many others who would like to go to Supanova, but are in an older age bracket, like myself, & don't know most of the guests Supanova generally have, so they don't have an interest to attend. I should also mention that there are many great British actors as well that are now starring in very popular US shows, so you don't need to get an American guest all the time, if you are hoping to attract fans of those particular programmes?

Regarding guests. How about someone from something like Doctor Who (being as I am also biased towards this programme), but not just a companion from 30 odd years ago. All of the classic series Doctors (apart from the first two) have been to events in the eastern states at one stage, & are still familiar to fans. Or even someone from the current series (2005- onwards), but they probably charge more?
If not from Doctor Who, how about actors who are familiar to more of the general public that are starring in popular franchises, but not necessarily someone like one of the kids from Harry Potter, but someone who has had more experience in the world of film and/or TV, and would be familiar to fans attending for more than just one genre? There is also other popular UK shows it would be interesting to get guests from, such as Primeval, Spooks or Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes?
These are just a few thoughts I have that I thought I'd share.
