Feedback of event 2011

Hey guys!!

I had a wonderful time on sat! I met heaps of new friends & the event was well orginized ;)

I did also had a wonderful time on Sunday up untill I got off stage & was approched buy one of the judges & was informed that the male people sitting behind them were saying disgusting & sexual things about me. They were told off several times and afterwoods they left. I was really happy that the judge went out of his way to tell me the situation, but i felt so down & dirty. I thought i could shake it off up untill i started hearing people wispering about me when i was getting photos taken. I felt so down I went & got changed. I would like to say people like that are disgusting & wreak it for people who just wish to go there & have fun.

I would like to say it was a great weekend HOWEVER it seems that the staff or volunteers from 2010 were used yet again because the level of rudeness was ridiculous, one of my friends who dressed as Jeannie was accused of pushing in line when she was not as she only had 2 photos taken and she was accused of doing it all day. I personally had a problem with one of them as I and a lot of other people were not informed on the prices that were increased and as I had to say sorry I can't afford nor justify spending $160 on 2 autographs and 2 photos they rudely asked so aren't you going to buy anything! I was very offended by this. Also the disorganization on Saturday morning was atrocious waiting what seemed half an hour extra past 10 am was not appreciated, plus not being able to get close bto the green hornet's car was not cool either. Besides from that it was okay, not the best but still some parts enjoyable.

I seperated these posts from last years' thread.

As for price increases, the prices have been listed on our guests individual pages on our website since they were announced.

okay fair enough you are correct there, but can we change the way the information is set? Instead of giving us all the information that we already know about them how about listing how much they will cost for autographs and photos and then have the time listings of when and where the photos and autographs and how many sessions there will be and at what times. THIS is what we want to really know and now have to find out on the day as then we can find out then and there because if the system went like for example this First sessions ticket 1 to 300 and then second session 301 to 601 and then third session 602 to 902 for example people can plan their whole day around this and can have more fun and not spend up to 6 hours in line for 1 autograph!

Aww really, that's weird about the green hornet car...I was so close I was practically touching the thing with my camera.....

Hmm but...the timetable for the session times were released on the week leading to the event :S
And the prices for both the autograph and photograph were stated on the website as well....

Problems I had with Supanova this year:

- Line management for entrance as on the Sunday, I was lining up since 8:30am and then a Supanova staff came along and told us that the line will now be at this particular door, causing everyone to make a mad dash, which was frustrating as the people who came after 8:30am got in front of me in the new line. Instead, the staff should have just shifted the ordinary line.
- Having the people with prepaid ticketek tickets to line up for two lines 1) one to collect the wrist band/ stamps and then 2) Line for the entrance to the convention. Having to line up for two lines seems inefficient to me as I believe the point of having prepaid tickets is to get faster access into events not make it longer.
- Needs to be a bigger venue as Supanova is getting bigger each year. Especially on the Saturday, it was way too packed and difficult to move around when you are in the middle.
- Possibly having more than one photo booth would be a good idea.

Other than that, it was a great event :)

Wonderful convention yet again this year. Supportive fun crowd, helpful volunteers and employees and great stalls this year. Kudos to adding a number of new stalls this year that were offering merchandise I hadn't see before. :D
The cosplay was once again, great fun. THank you to John for his hilarious MCing :)
My one and only gripe is the weapons policy. I did notice a few (and it was only a few) people with metal keyblades. My friend and I were almost whacked in the head and face by a very excited patron. The volunteer nearby thankfully told the young man to keep it in his bag or it would be confiscated. Thank you volunteer! :) you saved me a rather nasty

Overall though, a highly enjoyable and silly convention. Just the way Supanova should be :)
Great work everyone!

Do they really have to put Dominos Pizza in the middle of the convention? Those walls of hungry people were causing headaches for through-traffic. It was pretty crowded inside.

I was only there by myself, with a bunch of camera gear to protect... Moment i visualise a blockade ahead, I just manage to find another route around the obstacle.

Not so easy for parents, young families or kids in prams, who literally get nowhere in the pedestrian traffic. :?

Too damned crowded on Saturday. It was like Disneyland on New Year's Eve all over again.

That aside, went for the whole weekend for the first time, and really enjoyed it! Friday night was totally the highlight.

Hey all,
Overa the event was a lot of fun however there were a few things that were really disapointing things.

Last year some of my friends hadn't preordered tickets and they were stuck in line for ages, it seemed to be the same with the all the ruckus with the tickets and standing in line. Total pain but the volunteers were great :)

We need a bigger venue, it was slightly crowded. Just a little.

What was with Cosplay Chess? It seemed that it was supposed to start at one time and no one knew what was going on. Plus people kept walking on the chess board and one person (who shall remain nameless...) would not be quiet which caused a lot of pieces to miss their turn.

Other than that it was fun! And if anyone has any photos of my boyfriend and I (Uruhara and Neliel from Bleach) would be amazing.
